| My thoughts on this movie... |

Ok, avp was kind of rediculous in a way, the aliens dont really have a creepy feeling as they did in the normal alien movies, and whats with thier tails? they are about 20 feet long! And they make the aliens look stupid in the movie, i cant explain it, its just the feeling i kind of get when i watch the movie.
Also the script, it was kind of stale at some parts with the whole "hunters moon" thing, im not saying the predators would like to go on a big moon it was just kind of stupid, also the acting was kind of bad, especially when they laugh, it was really terrible. The 3d graphics were bad too, it looked too..how should i say this...too.... to dark, everything looked way too dark and kind of fake, just look at the contraption that is holding the queen up, look at it when its rising into the circle that locks it into place, it looks like a Mortal Kombat game or something.
Paul Anderson, the franchise ruiner, he destroyed resident evil 1, and there were a few stupid parts in resident evil 2 also (he helped produce or direct or something like that), mortal kombat was o.k. only because the second one was terrible. Im really mad that they didnt choose any other directors with a pitch, because this one was just stupid.

Ok, you know how predators vision is based on heat? well how could he see the guy that fell down the icy tunnel leading to the pyramid? he was covered in snow! a lot of snow at that, and he was sitting in it for a while.
I also hated how with the predators vision, they used green to see aliens clearer, they dont use green to see aliens they use red because you can see the aliens aura by doing so.
And the predators looked off, if you compare them to the other predators (mask off), for one thing thier head is too big, the mandibles are higher along with thier eyes.
This statement im about to say is a little debateable, but you know when the predator is marking himself and the drone shows up and he cuts a section of its head off? well his metal claws didnt make one hissing sound from acid, but it could be that he did it so fast that acid didnt touch the blade but that is highly unlikely.
speaking of acid, when he is throwing the shuriken at the queen and its comming back, first off, shouldnt the acid melt it at some point? second off, even if the thing was acid resistant (that would be rediculous, if they make that acid proof, why dont they make the armor acid proof?)
when he caught it it would melt his hand.
The ending was really stupid too because the aliens can live just about anywhere, so they didnt kill the queen, all the queen has to do is get rid of that big thing attatched to her chain and climb back up or swim back up and get to the surface, aliens can live a long time without air, or live in cold conditions. So that could have been a chain link to the second one where they go back and kill the queen but that would be rediculous. Another thing, what happened to lex?? you cant expect her to come back and say "Well the crew was killed by a bunch of big black serpants, and some alien helped me fight them off, but i was the only survivor."
i have more picks about the movie but i think this is enough.
I can just only hope Paul Anderson has nothing to do with the 2nd one, i dont even think he should be on the set!
I also didnt like how the set was always so small inside, sure he wanted the colaustrophobic type of thing in the movie, but it was a mistake.
I have to admit though, if i put all this stuff in the back of my mind the movie is ok, only the fight scenes though. so ill give the movie a half a star.

The dvd was nothing different.
The unrated version was a load of crap though, it said there were more fight scenes and more gore, but all it really was was more talking, which really made me mad because on the case it said "More Fight Scenes!"
So there is nothing special in the unrated version except for a little avp comic.
