| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

| I've read "The Lord of the Rings" over a good 15 times in the course of 5 years, and they've always thrilled me with the descriptive language and masterful storytelling. I rented the cartoons years ago, but I was desperate for a REAL interpretation of JRR Tolkeins masterpiece. When I went to see "Planet of the Apes" I saw it: The Lord of the Rings Preview. I'd never been so excited in my life. When I saw the Fellowship of the Ring on opening day, I came out stunned at what I'd seen. Then, I started buying the toys, learning to speak fluent Elvish, and counting the days until the release of "The Two Towers". When it came, I took the plunge and went to a midnight showing, and I enjoyed it emensely. I recieved the Extended Edition DVD's for both and was ready for "Return of the King". I've never lived long enough to see a film trilogy in theatres from start to finish, so this was a big deal. I dressed up in a Frodo costume and waited in line for 4 hours for this movie, and it was worth it. |

| "Return of the King" is a masterpiece of modern film making. WETA Digitals special effects are like no other, bringing the unique world of Tolkein to life. The film is emotional, and the performances by the cast are the best yet. The movie may be long, but trust me, buy extra large snacks, you'll want to stay for the whole thing. |
