December 4, 2003 — Craig Bierko (Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star) is in talks to join Russell Crowe in Cinderella Man. Ron Howard is set to direct this real life story about heavyweight boxing champ Jim Braddock (Crowe). Braddock was an aging boxer, who made a comeback in the 1930's while providing for his family during the Great Depression.

Brian Grazer and Penny Marshall will co-produce along with Howard.
