| I really loved this and not just because Ron Pearlman is fantastic in it. The fish guy is great fun, the special effects are great fun and the whole film is utterly compelling and a fantastic ride. there wasn't a single scene where I was bored and that is a rarity these days. even Spiderman 2 had its snoring moments. Above anything else though, Hellboy could kick Spiderman, Doc Ock and even batman's asses all at the same time! With a chunk of kryptonite he could kick Supermans ass as well. |

| This DVD is right up there with the 4 disc Lord of the Rings set in terms of volume, except here its actually quite fascinating and entertaining as opposed to Peter Jacksons self-loving style of "amazing journey etc..." Guillermo Del Torro IS a bit weird but i have to say is my current favourite director. The fact that he pushed and pushed for the perfect choice of lead (Ron Pearlman) alone shows his natural instinct and quite frankly knows the best way to shoot a movie. Brilliant!!! |
