VFX work for shuttle sequence

An Australian company that has done work for Red Planet ad Queen of the Damned did a little work for The Core. The sequence involved the LA River and the Space Shuttle Endeavour (little clip in the trailer). If you are wondering what it took to make the shots and then getting them to film check out the link below.

Australian VFX company Rising Sun Pictures (RSP) has created visual effects for Paramount's "The Core," due in theaters on March 28th. The company is known for its work with VFX Supervisors Jeff Okun on "Red Planet" and Greg McMurry on "Queen of the Damned."

The sequence involves the Space Shuttle Endeavour, which veers off course while reentering the atmosphere, and has to make an emergency landing in the Los Angeles River...
