| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |
| I wanted to see this one right after I saw the first one but even more so when I read the book. |

| My thoughts on this movie... |
| The movie was beyond my expectations. Jackson has once again found a way to bring Middle-Earth back to life. He masterfully picked up exactly where the other one left off; there was no real recap from the first part of the triology which can make it difficult if you see this one without watching the first one.The animation of Gollum-Smeagol was incredible, he looked like he could be a guy in a mask but only he's too skinny for any actor to play him onscreen like the others. Elijah really made an impact with the body language and eye contact showing how the ring is taking over him. His acting has really come a long way and he deserves more credit than is given to him. Sean Astin once again made me feel like I was in Ireland with his unique accent. Viggo Mortensen, how could anyone possibly say anything bad about the role he was playing. Once again when I saw him on the silver screen I believed for the entire three hours that he was the real life Aragorn. Orlando Bloom should be getting a lot of praise as well because of how well he mastered being an elf once again. John Rhys-Davies made me laugh on several occasions due to his characters' height problem. Needless to say I'm six foot and I can relate to the height difference between Legolas and Gimli thanks to my friends who a a head shorter than I. All in all I was thrust once more into Middle-Earth and actually felt apart of the battle at Helms Deep which is some extrememly difficult for a director to accomplish. I would definately go see this several times and with a free movie ticket, why not? Go see it, you get more than you money's worth on this $9 admission. |
