| My thoughts on this movie... |
|
| The Two Towers surpasses my greatest imaginings when it comes to putting a very complex second book to screen. Each cast member played their role flawlessly and with such terrific skill one felt as though they were indeed a part of the film rather than just watching it unfold. While the story does differ greatly in some aspects from the second book it still holds true to much of the dialog and has encompassed the themes of the book into a most impressive movie version. Seeing Gollums character brought to life was an exceptional thing, Andy Serkis not only plays Gollum as perfectly as one could imagine but also the CGI effects make him so realistic it was hard to fathom him as a computer image. The facial expressions, the behavior and most especially the portrayal make him one of the best CGI/Actor characters I have ever seen on film. With the Ents, the flying Nazgul and the most anticipated battle between Gandalf and the Balrog this movie is even better than the first and I am highly anticipating the third of the trilogy and the culmination of all the epic events witnessed in the first two. |
