October 1, 2002 — Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith talked to Director Richard Donner about Timeline. Donner told them that the film just finished post-production.
The adaptation of Michael Crichton's story about the Hundred Years' War was difficult, according to Donner. "We shot in Montreal for five months, and it was a pain in the butt."
The Paul Walker/Gerard Butler starrer, about three students who travel back to the 14th century to rescue their professor, started shooting in March and finished principal production in July, says Donner, "and we spent the majority of that time cold, wet and in the freezing mud. In mid-June, we were still wearing fur-lined jackets."
