As they announced that both Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight may be loosely adapted to television as a hour-long drama for ABC, Ain't it Cool News also announced a TV spin-off of the Hugh Grant dramedy the About a Boy has been rumored.

Same thing with Fox and Universal working together to turn ABOUT A BOY into a sitcom with Matthew Carlson set to write the pilot. Hugh Grant worked so well in that film precisely because of the baggage he carries as a performer. Finding someone who works that well again is going to take an alignment of the stars.

Whether or not it'll happen or not is still questionable, but we'll keep you posted here at Counting Down.
