July 2, 2002 — After a solid $21 million opening weekend, Insomnia has quietly been settling down the past six weeks as other major films have been released. The Christopher Nolan directed thriller has made $63,706,357, according to Box Office Mojo. This week, as Mr. Deeds, Minority Report, and Lilo and Stitch took the top three spots, 'Insomnia' made $1,101,245, 38% down from last weekend. It's possible that the film will end up making $70 million domestically, but it will be close. Meanwhile, the film will be released internationally for the months to come- ranging from the summer to early fall, so in that respect it will probably have a solid worldwide gross also. |
