June 10, 2002 — In Insomnia's third week of release, the Chris Nolan thriller made an estimated $5.9 million on 2,458 screens ($2,400 per screen average), down 41% from the previous weekend. In it's first week, the film made near $26 million, and only two weeks after that its already down near $6 million. It looks like Insomnia is losing steam at the box office with all the newer releases.
