May 26, 2002 — The NY Post hails Insomnia in the four star review. Here's some of what they had to say:
Williams, who doesn't appear on camera until halfway into the movie, very effectively underplays the regular-guy killer, who unnerves Will by comparing his "accident" with Hap to Walter's killing of the teenager he was "mentoring."
The solid supporting cast includes Maura Tierney as an innkeeper with a few secrets of her own and Katherine Isabelle as the victim's Lolita-esque best friend, both of whom have memorable encounters with Will.
"Insomnia" and Pacino are the year's first bona-fide Oscar contenders. Don't miss it.
