May 25, 2002 — Box Office Mojo reports that Insomnia grossed a solid $6,034,000 on Friday on 2,610 screens (a lower number than other new films like Enough and Spirit). The film bowed at number three overall, behind Star Wars' force and Spidey's web. They estimate that Insomnia should round out the Memorial Day weekend with around $24 million. (Meanwhile, BoxOfficeReport.com estimates near $26 mill.)
