I am old enough to remember growing up with the "original"
Peter Pan. However, I am NOt one of those that is going to lament as to
how this one "dosent measure up" to the one I grew up with. On the
contrary! I don't care that there wasn't any songe tht I will be singing
in the shower later... that is Disney Marketings problem, mot mine. I
found it all to be completely enjoyable and that it fit well together...
and didn't really TRY to re-do my beloved original.

I will let you in on a secret... My mother and I had a bond between us
about all things Disney... especially DisneyLAND. She was one of the few
who truly understood what the park experience ment to me... as it did
her! We had in common the feeling that "I may grow older, but I shal
NEVER grow up!"...what I call the PETER PAN SYNDROM. Momma, by best
buddy has been gone nearly 17 years (Gawd! I'd Doesn't feel like it!)
and hearing the, how did he phrase it? Oh! The "thin cover" of "second
star to the right" instantly had ME in silent tears! And to be honest,
the closing scenes had me sobbing my lungs out all through the credits
and beyond! I say, take all the critics and "experts" (they're Grown-ups
anyway) time 'em all up and put them in Skull rock and wait fo the tide
to come in!

This was a fantastic experience...which I took MY daughter (24) to the
following night for the last show...and had a theater all to
ourselves... and she LOVED it! THANK YOU Disney for NOT going straight
to video with this! We needed a great time in the dark of the theater
about now! Since I can't have it on the big screen forever, I WILL buy
it in DVD as SOON as it becomes available..... and I might ahve passedit
by if it had gone straight to video.

One word for Disney though.... SOME sequels, such as finishing THis
story... and I loved Tink making up with Wendy... and might even enjoy a
continuation fo Tarzan ( it WAS a series, after all) but please stop
thinking that you have to make sequals of everything!! ESPECIALLY live
action ones. "HOOK" would have been a dismal failure and I would have
avoided it in droves (yes, I am big enough to qualify for a "DROVE" all
by myself!) were it not for Robin William and Dustin Hoffman playing the
two leads...and I STILL don't think Tinkerbell needed a speaking role!
SO.... enough with the sequels!!!

But this one was a Disney GEM!
