Transformers 2 has passed the domestic haul of the first film and is just shy of the worldwide total and it hasn't even been out for a month yet! Okay, so Harry Potter will keep it from beating TDK, but I can not wait until the third film. What can they do to go bigger?? Unicron is my only thought...

Even though another director would likely have to come on board, I'd like to see the series go beyond 3 movies, and once they do Unicron, they can't go any bigger, so I say start the comments and suggestions to his existance and possibly that he may show, but leave him out of the 3rd.

But great on the box office front. I don't think it really deserves to be top grossing of the year, but it was a great entertaining movie.

Apparently the people posting here do (including you).

Also, something from the U.S. doing well in China is always a good thing. They're pretty much the ONLY major nation to still have their financial reserves in U.S. dollars.

However, American movie releases in China are seldom at best and only a few american films are released in comparison to chinese cinemea, call it progressive nationalism (wouldn't want to make the chinese think they're movies aren't better than our would we).

I still can't imagine how anyone could really care, VHS bootleg record? see if that were real, that'd be awesome.

Why is this important exciting news? Because???? Now had it break Titanics overall record that would be great, but getting only 60 mill in China, is almost what it did on a Wed night here, thats nothing special, and i am sure the fact that Shanghai was in the film helped..

Wake me when it sinks the titanics record period...

Not a chance. Hell, it can't even compete with Harry Potter or Ice Age. Dark Knight was the top movie for like 4 weeks, right? Transformers was tops for 1 week.
