October 21, 2009 — Viggo Mortensen, who stars in the big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's 'The Road' film has been doing many interviews on Cormac McCarthy's vision of the book, and the core of the story. "In the end it's a story about kindness," said Mortensen, "or the possibility we have as people, for example, to choose to prevent misery rather than to avenge it."
