Hello, everyone,
Since 2009 is almost here, I had a question regarding next year's X-Poster Awards. Do you think we should start nominating or do you guys want to wait a little longer? I just wanted to ask because January's usually the month we start nominating for the X-Poster Awards, and after BatSTUD and The NEW Harry Pothead gave us our best X-Poster Awards to date, I just wanted to check with you guys.

Does late February or early March sound like a good enough time to announce the winners? Does anyone object to that? I know people haven't posted here on the X-Men 4 board much lately, but still...

Anyway, when you guys do decide it's time for nominations, here are the awards we have, in order from last time's awards:

Been here since 2003 never once won a catergory. I dont think it reflects the whole year but probably that months top posters. And you feel there is an element of favoratisium and grouped friends that inflence others... Thats just my opinion from the past of 4-5 wards you have done on here. but i could be wrong... either way how can you nominate a NightOwl, when i post its usually between the hours of 12am to 4am but because im from the uk the time would different to what it is in america...

I think if you really wanted to make it fair, the poster who wants to be nominated for a particular title puts in a request, followed by a note as to why that catergory. Then once all the posters who want to be in that catergory are collected, usually a cut of time. The Nominee Topic is then created to of which the Posters can then vote who they want from the list provided...

Does anyone else think this is fair?

Happy New Year!

So if you guys want to wait a while longer for nominations, that's fine. I just wanted to ask about it because it usually takes a while to do these X-Poster Awards.

As for my behavior last year, I've already apologized for that. Over and over. And I'll gladly still say I'm sorry for it until it's okay to stop saying so. I've already said I didn't try to take over the Awards from Harry and BatSTUD, and if my comments made it seem like I was, again, I'm sorry. That was never my intention. I even wrote Harry and BatSTUD emails, which I don't know if they ever got, apologizing for the misunderstanding, and I said so again in a post here on CD.

I'm sorry for what happened. But it's over. Stuff happens. Misunderstandings happen. It wasn't something I was trying to do.

I would love to host again the Awards again sometime in the future, which I also said last year before Harry and BatSTUD were picked as the hosts. And they were incredible. They did a brilliant job with it. But whoever gets picked for this year's awards show, I promise this time that I'll be more careful with phrasing my comments and I'll do my best to make sure there aren't any misunderstandings in the future.

Look, if there's anything I can do to make amends for what happened, I'm all for it. I'll do anything it takes to set things right. I'd love to attend the show and help out in some capacity, but you'd better believe I'll do whatever it takes to make sure nothing like last year happens again.

Again, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that BatSTUD and Harry thought I was trying to take control of the Awards away from them, but honestly, I wasn't trying to "usurp the hosting postition" from them. And I don't want anyone to think I'll make the same mistake with the new host of this year's X-Poster Awards when I attend.

Also, I agree with Kell. There's too much negativity and name calling going on already on too many message boards and websites. I hope that doesn't happen again with this year's X-Poster Awards.

Maybe in 2009, things will be a bit calmer and we can have a bigger, better, friendlier awards show this time.

Hey comic critic, i dont know what happend last year, my appearance on the forum was thin mostly because my work demands alot from me so i havent had the time to be on here... As for the rest, I really don't think it matters when it's held. People are either going to participate or not. I will if I see the board up.

At any rate, the only nomination I can name off the top of my head right now would be Best Newbie. For that one I'll vote for Why So Serious.

i think the reason why we should wait for nominations is because the X-Men boards have been a ghost town lately, its too bad many a good times have been had here, such as Pheonix threads which btw i must thank CC for keeping up, hes a very dedicated person to the X boards and all its fun, keep up the good work man

If I may put my two cents in...

I do agree we should wait until March. Waiting until Wolverine is too long in my opinion.

Also, as last year's poster of the year winner, just in case anyone plans on nominating me again, I am pre-emptively removing myself from contention for that honor. I personally feel my inaccuracy with JLA has overshadowed anything else I've posted since the last awards. I've been doing much better lately, but I'm still not on top of my game again yet.

But at least what I've said since Dec 2006 finally came to pass.

Also, as last year's poster of the year winner, just in case anyone plans on nominating me again, I am pre-emptively removing myself from contention for that honor. I personally feel my inaccuracy with JLA has overshadowed anything else I've posted since the last awards. I've been doing much better lately, but I'm still not on top of my game again yet.

But at least what I've said since Dec 2006 finally came to pass.

Singer (from his own mouth) is no longer under contract for Superman!! Yay me!!
