The Web Head 2 said: No I don't think they're not going to make an Evil Dead 4. I think it's still going ahead.
I heard that they are remaking Evil Dead,,,, and their getting a younger actor to be Ash,,,, but I hope its not true,,,,, but if it is,,, it makes sense that Bruce is doing this film, knowing that his not gonna be in the next Evil Dead,,,, he wants to do another Demon-Kick-ass movie,,, Just an Idea,,,, Hair Ball |

I think that what he means with the Scream comparison is that they both kind of break the fourth wall. Scream is about a killer who kills based on horror movie cliches, and the victims know it.
New Nightmare breaks the fourth wall also, being about a person making a movie based on the Freddy Kreuger killings, which is ironic because New Nightmare is a movie itself. However, this has little to do with scream or new nightmare in the plot, except that they are all about other horror movies or making horror movies, then breaking the fourth wall in that. The thing is, though, that this movie's plot revilves around an individual actor being mistaken for a character he plays, not about a character jumping out of a movie or something.
Now, as far as plot similarities go, some movie fans will notice that this movie borrows heavily from the 1970's Kung-fu movie "They Call Me Bruce", which is about a person being mistaken for Bruce Lee. The similarities in the names are notable as well.
Now, about the subject of ED4 and the ED remake:
Both WILL HAPPEN. Sam Raimi officially announced them both, but said that he wouldn't have any involvement in the remake, which itself is being coined a "Reimagining", and which will not have the character Ash or even an equivelent. Evil Dead 4, however, will bring together the old gang, including Sam Raimi and his brothers Ted and Ivan, Bruce, Tom Sullivan (Make-up dude) and several others. It will have nothing to do with either My Name is Bruce or the remake, except the source material, and (Or so I hope) may take place in an urban enviroment, showing the same kinds of chaos found in the games Fistfull of Boomstick and Regeneration.
