We're not really surprised by Chris Evans' comments to MTV, because 20th Century Fox and Marvel Studios are leaning more towards a Silver Surfer spin-off with a script by J. Michael Straczynski than they are moving forward with a third Fantastic Four movie.

"I'm pretty sure we won't do [another] one," Evans said, adding that as far as he's concerned, it's "a closed book."

Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige last summer said the Silver Surfer movie had been "moved to the forefront" of discussions. And just last month, Straczynski said the spin-off will cover the origin of the character and will feature Galactus.

Who says every movie has to be part of a trilogy? LOTR and Star Wars are trilogies. A set of 3 movies with one story throughout. I say they quit while they're behind.

My prayers have have finally been answered! Please let this be true! If they make another one, the trend will continue. The first was okay, but not as good as it should have been. Then the second just plain sucked. So the third could only possibly go even further down, provided the same writing and directing team were on board. IF they got new writers, a director, and a new style, then it could easily also go in the other direction ala MI3, and be the best in the series.

Either way, so long as this crew is attached, I hope it stays with two.

as Hard as I try, I'll never understand you guys, LOL.. What was soo Terrible with the two Movies anyways ? Casting was Great, "The Thing" actually looked Real and didn't it stay true to the Comics ? What did they Screw up ? Dr. Doom looked Great and acted Just like he does in the comics, the story was well played out in both films, am I missing something ?

Is it that its kinda "light", "kiddie" ? what ya Expect ? Ain't the cartoons and Comics also "Kiddie" and "Light" ? What ? you wanted it to be more "Dark" ? More for Adults ? how can That work out with Fantastic Four ? Wasn't Silver Surfer like in the Comics ? Wasn't he well Done and Realistic ?
In my opinion, they pulled off the Costumes, the Characters, the powers and Even their "Vehicle" in a Very "Natural" Comic Book kinda way without making it Cheesy but wtv, I doubt that you guys are the Minority because all my friends really like this series.

I'm gonna have to agree here. There was really little wrong with the series imo, and I'm kinda upset they're not gonna continue it. I remember seeing the first one (expecting a disisaster) and walking out going "Damn, that was a lot of fun!" Same goes for the second! I even liked it better than the first. Will someone PLEASE point out the problems of the movies to me, cuz I just don't see it. (And please don't say crap like "Dr. Doom used magic not electromagnetic powers blah blah blah origins are all off blah blah blah, cuz let's face it, that's NOT why you guys are actually hating on this movie. I'm trying to figure out the REAL reason).
