Anyone ever thought that the cloud/vortex is actuly just Galactus' means of transportation or acts as his Elemental Converter?

Hope so, or my Doctor Who/Marvel Movieverse fanfic is buggered!

I sense the coming of those who will attempt to explain away Galactus being destroyed by Silver Surfer in the hopes the studio made an error in judgement and will bring him back in another film the correct way. It's Superman Returns all over again.

I know I haven't seen FF2 yet, but let's not say things we can't take back.

Who's saying something they would want to take back?? I meant what I said in regards to the first post of this thread in comparing it to how people made excuses about the kryptonite and other things to try and cling to their fantasy that SR was good when it actually sucked. I've seen FF2 and believe me, its like something you'd expect to see on a Wide World of Disney special on a Sunday night. Just the fact Galactus gets wiped out in an instant when we ALL know that would NEVER happen completely ruined the film.

Click Here to learn the truth about what Galactus will look like in the movie. I must warn you that the site tells in detail what the movie is about. Do not read if you do not want the movie spoiled.

Well they have anouced a Silver Surfer spin-off and you know Galactus has to be in that.

And i hope FF2 aint anywhere near as bad as Superman Returns.

If you saw what happened to Venom and Eddie Brock in SM3, that's what happens to Galactus. I couldn't believe my eyes.

Why do you say Galactus will have to bein the spin-off? The Surfer had his own spinoff comic but Galactus was not in it. Surfer was banished on Earth when he defied Galactus in the comics and so he became something of another superhero. That's probably how the spinoff will play out.

I know that. But it's likly the movie will be like a prequal showing the origin of the Surfer.

Well aparently acording to Wiki in the book he is
a cosmis cloud and is called Gah Lak Tus.
but well as a being who is both an abstract entity (e.g. Death, Eternity, et al) and a physical creature, Galactus' true form and nature are beyond the capability of mortal beings to comprehend.

As Galan, he was a humanoid, but as Galactus, his true form is unknown. He has adopted the appearance of a roughly humanoid energy being on at least three occasions.

Silver Surfer takes him out with one energy blast as if it were easy.

Rather than being banned to earth for defying Galactus, he chooses to stay there after killing him. That's the difference between the film and the comic.

Well Wiki describes it has repeling him. I don't see how even the Surfer could actuly kill Galactus. Has for the Surfer chosing to stay on earth besides the comic book reason. I don't see a problem.

'He chooses to stay there after killing him.' Are you saying this was what happened in the film or the comic? Didn't happen in that way in the comic and that's not how I saw it in the film, either. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

me either.... what a joke! let's just face it. The lackluster movie version is wrong in every way.
SS could never repel Galactus or blow him up. On his best day the best he could possibly do would be to tick him off a little

But at the end of the movie, they show the Surfer waking up and then his board follows him. Wouldn't that indicate they're picking the story up AFTER the events in this movie?
