Someone writes a story (Houndog) in which a young girl is raped. It's made into a film and people reject it because they find the one particular scene (guess which one) horrible and disgusting.

The Kite Runner is written in which an afghan boy is raped, it's made into a movie and everyone's so excited to see it.

It's that kind of irony which will never die. No one (especially the press) will ever care enough about little boys getting raped unless the rapist happens to be Michael Jackson. So the women in everyone's minds will always be seen as the damsels in distress stereotype and they'll all sympathize them enough to the point that they'd show up to a little girl's funeral, even if there was no relation between them. It's nice of people to do that, but why don't they do that to other unfortunate victims?

It's like what Al Bundy said "Well, the world is a twisted place"

Thats the world for ya.....as misogynistic as our country can be at times Women are still held at a higher regard than Men are and not as equals as it should be. Especially, and I know this is pathetic, for White Females. When was the last time you heard on national news about a black girl or a mexican girl being kidnapped and raped.
