Star Wars tops 'Britain's Favourite Soundtracks' list

London, Aug 26 (ANI): 'Star Wars' has topped a new list of 'Britain's Favourite Soundtrack.

Composed by John Williams, Star Wars has beaten 'The Mission' to earn the top spot in a joint poll run by Classic FM and Radio Times, reports the Telegraph.

'Lawrence of Arabia' came third, followed by 'Chariots of Fire' at fourth position and 'Dr Zhivago' at fifth.

More than 30,000 people took part in the poll.

Britain's Favourite Soundtrack are:

  1. Star Wars (John Williams)
  2. The Mission (Ennio Morricone)
  3. Lawrence of Arabia (Maurice Jarre)
  4. Chariots of Fire (Vangelis)
  5. Dr Zhivago (Maurice Jarre)
  6. The Dam Busters (Eric Coates)
  7. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (John Barry)
  8. The Magnificent Seven (Elmer Bernstein)
  9. Born Free (John Barry)
  10. Vertigo (Bernard Herrmann)
