Demotos said: It could just be a rumor, like I said it was several months back when I heard about this. Like November or December I think. Don't worry Treker even if it does air on HBO, sooner or later it will end up on Spike or SciFi or some other network. The first two or three seasons of Stargate actually aired on Showtime. Hell, I remember the very first episode had FULL nudity of Daniel Jackson's wife(I forget her name) but man she was a hottie!
Anyway, who knows. The way George Lucas moves it could be another five years before we see it. It's sad to say but I'm willing to bet the best years of Star Wars are still to come, but won't take place until after his death. He's just to fanatical about it. I read an interview he did a while back in which he was asked if any of Yoda's story would be explored in the novels. Lucas said something to the effect that some things are meant to remain mysteries and Yoda's origins are a story for him alone to enjoy. WTF??
Well I hope Lucas decides put it on Sci-Fi which it is where it meant to be like Star Trek and Stargate are, the Kings of Sci-Fi.
I know that Stargate SG-1 started on Showtime. I used to have Showtime but my area took it off. I don't know why though. However I actually started watching SG-1 on WB on Saturday nights before I started watching it on Sci-Fi and it was right before when I got cable TV for the first time. I never seen the pilot episode of SG-1 where Daniel Jackson's wife was stripped down completely naked on television but I have seen it when I bought the entire series on DVD though. Oh hell yeah I have to admit she was very hot.
I don't hate Lucas like you others do but he should get really good people to help him make the show really good. I think he really should hire some people from Bio-Ware to write, produce, and help to direct the episodes then it will be a really good show. I think Bio-Ware make really good Sci-Fi stories like Mass Effect and KOTOR.
100% Star Trek and Superman fan.

I really don't hate Lucas at all. I have alot of respect for his vision and what he wants Star Wars to be. I also understand why he holds onto it with such an iron fist. Lucas is probably the only reason that the continuum in the novels and games has stayed completely accurate from book to book and game to game. Not a single piece of Star Wars is released without his approval. From the plot of the games to the plots of the novels. For example, in the Yuuzhan Vong storyline in the New Jedi Order books, the writers were planning to have Luke Skywalker killed in one of the first books to show how dangerous the Vong were. Lucas put his foot down, and instead Luke's nephew bit the dust instead.
I just think the man needs to lighten up a little bit and at times let in a little outside influence.
