| YOUR TOP 5 THINGS YOU WANNA SEE IN "SPIDER-MAN 4" |

Just for the sake of argument, say that you got a hold of Sam Raimi, current writer Gary Ross, or whoever was working on "Spider-Man 4". Like Mr. Raimi, you realize what a huge steaming bowl of elephant p**s "Spider-Man 3" was and you want to make sure that the next Spider-Man movie makes up for what "3" ruined.
So what five things, the things you would absolutely love to see in order to fix the train wreck that was "Spider-Man 3", would you demand that Sam Raimi include in the next film? Since I started this, I'll go first, and my top 5 may surprise you:
#1.) Flint Marko did not kill Ben Parker.
Seriously? This was the absolute worst aspect I've seen in a comic book film. It not only deviated from the comic book in a VERY stupid way (Flint accidentally shot Ben because he was startled? WHAT?!?), it took away the very reason why Peter became Spider-Man.
#2.) Bring in Bruce Campbell as Mysterio.
If not as the main villain, then as a secondary villain. Why? Here are three very good reasons I can think of.
a.) It fixes the Flint killed Ben debacle and makes the carjacker the real shooter again. I mean, what if Flint only thought he shot Ben? Maybe it was an illusion caused by Mysterio to fool Flint? Why would Mysterio do that and what has he been doing in the years since Ben was shot? Hey, let the writers come up with that part! There would have to be a logical explanation as to why Flint was framed and it'd make a good mystery for Spidey to unravel. Besides, Mysterio and the Burglar were in the "Return of the Burglar" storyline, so it's not impossible or unlikely to see the two characters paired together.
b.) It'd be Bruce Campbell as a main villain. Who DOESN'T want to see more of Mr. Campbell? Besides, who better to play a guy like Quentin Beck than him? Sure, he'd spend a lot of his time under a fishbowl helmet, but I'd love to see Mr. Campbell finally get an actual role that gets him longer than a minute of screentime. Plus, if you try to out-argue me on this, I'll just shoot you with my boomstick.
c.) I like the theory that Bruce Campbell's cameo characters are all really the same guy, Quentin Beck, and Beck is stalking Peter Parker by taking on different "roles" as popping up in a different job for each film. Maybe Beck knows Peter's Spider-Man and is spying on him for a crimelord (Silvermane, Tombstone, the Rose... take your pick). However...
#3.) Keep that d*mn Spider-Man mask on
Okay, "Spider-Man 2" overdid it a bit with the whole unmasking bit, and "Spider-Man 3" sure didn't help matters much. NOBODY ELSE NEEDS TO KNOW PETER IS SPIDER-MAN IN THESE MOVIES!!! It's a SECRET identity after all, and I sure as heck do NOT want to see this repeated in "Spider-Man 4".
#4.) Two words: CHARACTER, DEVELOPMENT.
Okay, how much did the writing for all of the characters in "Spider-Man 3" suck? Seriously. Peter was unlikable as a selfish jerk, Eddie Brock had no real backstory and/or characterization, Aunt May had a role so non-existant and unimportant you wondered why she was even in the movie, and don't EVEN get me started on what they did to Mary Jane. I say, make the characters likable again, give them something to do, and don't shoehorn someone in just because fans want to see them introduced. Look at Venom as the perfect example to that. Besides, it'd be nice to actually have Spider-Man quip and make jokes during battle. We saw a bit of that with Doc Ock in "Spider-Man 2", but there have been nowhere near enough quips made by Spidey in "2", or ANY of the Spidey films.
Plus, in the case of Mary Jane, they not only need to make her character someone to care for again, but for the love of Stan Lee, STOP KIDNAPPING HER!! Even I don't want Mary Jane put in peril again. If you must have someone in trouble for Spidey to save, use some characters who REALLY need more screen-time. I suggest either Betty Brant (just look at the Doc Ock storyline with her brother Bennett being involved with gangster Blackie Gaxton), J. Jonah Jameson (co-creator of the Scorpion), Curt Connors' as-yet-unintroduced wife Martha Connors (should he go all Lizard in a sequel), and even Aunt May Parker could get snatched up. I mean, Mysterio faked her death and so did the original Green Goblin.
#5.) IT FINALLY HAPPENS - PETER WEDS MARY JANE!! NOT A CLONE!! NOT AN IMAGINARY STORY!! NOT A WHAT-IF!! NOT A MEPHISTO-DEAL-TO-BE-RETCO NNED-LATER STORY!!
Sorry, Mr. Quesada, but this is naturally the main thing I want to see included and if you don't know why I want this to happen, you don't know me at all.
Besides, I'm sure even you guys are sick of the whole "will they or won't they" factor we got all throughout "Spider-Man 3". I'd love to see them engaged and wed ON-SCREEN AND IN THE SAME FILM, because honestly, I don't want to see a 40-something Tobey Maguire playing a 20-something Peter Parker STILL be single and wondering if he can ever be with his one-true-love, Mary Jane. It's not only boring, it's about ****ing time they end up together. Granted, we should've had a better Mary Jane/Peter/Gwen love-triangle in "Spider-Man 3", but since it was done so stupidly and involved an emo Peter dancing and air-humping, I just cringe at the thought of Peter's relationship with Mary Jane stretched out for even one more movie. Gwen's time has come and gone, as far as I'm concerned, and since Gwen's rumored to not be in "4" at all, what's the point in introducing a new love interest like Betty Brant or even the Black Cat when we've had this on-and-off relationship since 2002?
Well, these are just my opinions. What do you guys think? What are YOUR top 5?
