in all honesty... I dont see what the big deal is with this fan made crap. The minute the actress who played mary jane came out spoke, i stopped watching. Her voice sounds annoying and her acting is 100 times worst than kirsten dunsts.... Am i alone here on this one or is this guy wasting his time with this crap and taking it to the comic con ?

Considering the lack of budget and how this is obviously being produced on the goodwill of fans alone (or just one fan and his close friends), I'd say this isn't that bad.

Sure the costumes aren't showy or professionally made, but their inventive,
The writing and performances aren't well paced, but there's some great references to classic Spidey story arcs and other Marvel characters/stories, etc.
The effects... Let's not go there, but a good attempt when you haven't got a blue screen and several million dollars in CGI tech and funding,
The acting... Umm... Yeah well,
The guy playing Peter has more enthusiasm than skill, but it's clear he gets the character and is trying to do him justice, gotta give him credit there. He just needs to work on his pacing and deliverence of his lines.
The girl playing MJ looks the part, but has zero emotion. NOT an actress.
The girl who played Gwen was good, looked like a dead ringer for Gwen, but they made it look like she and Peter weren't gonna last right from the off. This was a wrong move. Gwen and Peter were meant to be together, they were perfect for each other, which is why her story and death was so tragic.
The guy playing Harry was terrible. Just all round bad, there was not one single redeeming thing about him.
Everyone else was ok... ish.

I've seen much better fanfilms, but I've seen much MUCH worse.

Anytime you come across these fan made films IcEXMaNuSa post them. I love watching these movies. Good Or Bad I Love Them. Every future film maker started out just like Roger King. With nothing more than a camera and a dream.

I won't sit here and get real critical with this film. Which I could easily point out it's many faults, but I won't. Roger simply needs time to grow at his craft. If he reads this one day. I would simply leave him with words of encouragement.

I love the fact that he tried so hard to keep Spiderman's origins so close to the comics. Also I think his vision on where to take Spiderman in the first film. I felt it was a better direction to go in than Sam Raimi's version. Because it had a lot more continuity. I like that he went directly from Spidey's origins into a pivotal moment within the comics. Which was "The Night Gwen Stacy Died" storyline. Now why didn't Fox Studio think of that? Obviously this kid is a true FAN. The story of Gwen's death leads right up to the death of Norman Osborn. And it sets up the depth of Peter Parker's psychology in so many ways in the future. Gwen's (and Uncle Ben's) death is one of the main reasons Peter could never get close to MJ. I think a lot of future Spiderman fans really missed out by not having this story told in original Raimi film. So good job Roger King.

Also I love that he didn't forget to use one of my favorite lines from the comic. The comic code didn't allow any cuss words back then. So here's how he got around that. Spiderman's fighting the Green Goblin. He grabs up his bag of explosives and throws them and says . . ."I'm sick of these PUMPKIN bombs!!!" I love that line.

I just watched up to 15 minutes of it and took 6 breaks. I just couldnt watch anymore. You have fan made films like alien vs predator vs batman which was AMAZING. This, no matter how close they tried to make it towards the comics just was the WORST fan made film I have ever seen. I mean the acting was REALLY BAD. like worse than those movies like the terminators or transmorphers direct to dvd rip offs of the real films. That mary jane watson actress made me thank my lucky stars for kirsten dunsts version lol. Even though, I rather have evan rachael wood or mary winstead just know that it COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE !

LOL, regardless of what budget he could have had the actors and story needed a serious replacment. What I didnt like is that he ripped off sam raimis story with how peter got his powers. In the comics, it was totally different of how he finds out he has spider powers.
