On November 15th, Disney Enterprises registered two domain names for National Treasure 2 that give a clue as to what the sequel's subtitle might be. The company bought the names NationalTreasure2TheBooko fSecrets.com and TheBookofSecretsNationalT reasure2.com.
"The Book of Secrets" makes sense, considering that producer Jerry Bruckheimer said previously that the sequel involves Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth and 18 pages which are actually missing from Booth's library.
Director Jon Turteltaub and stars Nicolas Cage, Justin Bartha, Diane Kruger, Jon Voight and Harvey Keitel return for the sequel, targeted for a December 21, 2007 release.
As part of Buena Vista Pictures' updated 2007 Preview, the studio has confirmed the previous report that the National Treasure sequel will be titled National Treasure: The Book of Secrets.
