The trades have just picked up the Robert Rodriguez-doing-The-Jetso
ns news from earlier today, and mention that the Sin City helmer has also been approached to pen the big-screen take on TVs Land of the Lost. Will Ferrell is set to star in the movie.

This was assumingly the secret project that Rodriguez was telling Harry Knowles about earlier when he said, Robert said there was something on the horizon that he'd let me know about, if things work, stars line up and the world smiles upon the project that would be unbelievably cool.... that "is right up your and my alley!"

While I'm all for Rodriguez helming a LotL movie, I can't imagine that he'll be doing it any time soon. Last time I checked he was planning to make the updated version of Barbarella his next project, not to mention the Sin City sequels.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
