Susan Sarandon will star in New Line Cinema comedy Mr. Woodcock for director Craig Gillespie, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie centers on a young man (Seann William Scott) who returns to his hometown to stop his mother (Sarandon) from marrying his old high school gym teacher, who made life a living hell for him and many of his classmates.
Billy Bob Thornton plays the gym teacher. Sarandon next stars in writer/director Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown with Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst.
