One of my favorite stories, sometimes noted in the history books, is about Lincoln and his son, tad, (I think it was Tad), and the story would make an awesome film moment.

Lincoln used pardons a lot, and he actually pardoned one of his son's toy soldiers. (There was also a turkey that was pardoned around Thanksgiving...and this tradition continues today)

Lincoln had such a crucial part of our history, so whether you admire him (as I do) or are more of the revisionist, this movie will make a great film.

The whole writing of the Gettysburg address is an awesome story, too.

What parts of Lincolns' life would you like to see?

I'd like to see the part when him and George Washington got into a fight in that bar in Boston.

J/K

I'm sure the film will span his entire life, from the log cabin to getttysburg, to his assassination.

What is perhaps amazing to us today is that following his election, he appointed three of his main rivals in the Republican party to high-level Cabinet posts.

Contrast that with the cronyism today.

His reasoning was sound: He wanted the strongest and best people in his party working for the government he was forming.

Think about that.
