Anticipation Level:
How excited (or not) I am to see this movie...
I really wanted to see this even though I knew it would be scary.
Movie Review:
My thoughts on this movie...
I saw this movie last night... It's very good. The acting is excellent but it was the STORY that got me. Religious or not, we all know that good and evil exist. Personally I'm not "super" religious - (I was raised going to church but I'm older and don't go much anymore) but this movie still got to me. I honestly do believe this girl was possessed. Our world today is so dependent on mental disorders and medication that I can see why the prosecution assumed she was psychotic/epilleptic. But I don't believe that for a second. I think medical terms are easier for some people to believe that so they don't have to think about the possibility of EVIL living among us. Whether you believe or not, it does exist and live among us. (And you will see in the movie, it even affects the non-religious)... Also, the tape played in the courtroom of the exorcism is ACTUAL audio from her REAL exorcism. It's very scary, but amazing. This movie is scary because it's real. It's one of those movies you can't say to yourself "it's only a movie" -- This really happened. And I'm glad Emily is finally getting recognition for it. Maybe she will be a saint one day. Go see the movie if you're not too scared And enjoy!
