According to ComingSoon, young actor Jacob Davich will star in Dimension Films' The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl in 3-D, scheduled for a June 10 release. Robert Rodriguez wrote the script and will direct.
Jacob play Minus, a bully who terrorizes a 10-year-old boy, Max, who has a pair of imaginary superhero friends. The film also stars George Lopez and newcomers Taylor Dooley, Taylor Lautner and Cayden Boyd.
Filming starts later this month at Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.
Davich recently wrapped shooting for Sony's Fun With **** and Jane, in which he will play Laurie Metcalfe's son. He makes his feature debut in December as the young Howard Hughes in Martin Scorsese's The Aviator.
