In what looks like a shocker (maybe not) after months and months of what I thought were push backs release dates. It seems they settled on what to do. coming To DVD January 9, 2007. No price yet. But Wow! what happened here? Did it come out in August and I miissed it? Anyway I'm glad for one. It looks like they came to there senses after seeing that trailer which looked as bad as Mortal Kombat mixed with street fighter it seemed it was bound for failure. No question. Plus super Heroine movies never do well at the box office. Sad, I know. First Bloodrayne now DOA. This is a warning. Everyone waiting for wonder woman & supergirl be weary.
I'm not surprised or even bothered.It shows that some games are best left alone when it comes to movies.Mortal Kombat 1 was actually quit good but Street Fighter was a disaster the manga version film was awesome showing that maybe its better to translate it into animation rather than live action and Dead or Alive probably should of done the same.The trouble is with a beat em up game they don't really have much of a story because its just about beating the crap out of each other but occasionally something comes along that has potential to become a live version movie and not this one...
After being pushed back month after month 'til finally it will be 5 months come 12/8. It seems it will come to theaters after all. The DVD release date has now been changed to April 17, 2007. But who knows this movie is very sketchy right now.
