Kevin Smith tells Skiewed and Reviewed that although he has put 'Jay and Silent Bob' to bed he isn't quite ready to say goodbye to "Clerks"' Dante and Randall.

In an interview to promote the director's new comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", Smith hints at a possible "Clerks 3" - albeit sometime down the track.

''When I get into my 40s I might want to visit Dante and Randle and see what they are up to", Smith said.

Smith is 38, so this one's still a couple of years away.

It would be interesting to see his take on Dante and Randal, esp. with Dante married and having a kid, but a Clerks film w/o Jay and Silent Bob?

Seriously man! It's not Clerks without them.

Yeah, Jay and Silent Bob at least need to be hanging around outside to throw in the typical Jay quip.

As far as a Clerks III goes, I know I certainly wouldn't complain. The first two were brilliant.

Also, they were both DIFFERENT. It's not every day that you can continue a series, have the second film have VERY little to do with the first, and still come out with a work of genius.

I don't know about that man. Clerks has always been about Dante and Randals friendship, and their current life situation.

Jay and Silent Bob just ad a different type of comedy as opposed to what D & R offer. And in most cases consists of d!ck and fart jokes, and pot.

Lets not forget that their screen time in both movies has been minimal. Though obviously a bit more in Clerks 2.

So, though I would miss them. I don't think it would take anything away from a 3rd movie!
