| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

A Lethal Weapon 5 Movie? Wow! I am glad I found this post, crazy Mel Gibson (and Im not referring to his dui) I love his antics in Lethal Weapon and Lethal Weapon 2, he was rough, he was tough, he was funny, he was sarcastic, he WAS THE MAN! And with Danny Glover and his sentimental family, tough-loving wife realistic kids and quick decision making, these TWO ARE Lethal Weapons!
Riggs and Murtaugh are back for the fifth installment of the series. A new decade of rookies have joined the force to be taken out in the real field to get grips of real life situations this time around. All get heated when they stumble upon a terrorist plot to blow up terrorize a major city in the U.S. Are the rookies tough enough and smart enough to help capture the terrorists? Watch them in an impossible mission that takes them from California to Cuba to Germany and back.
This time, the movie is going to be the FIRST of the LAST of the series. This means, the franchise can move forward with new stars grand fathered in!
The new story now involves five new rookie recruits for the team (Lethal Weapons). Wed have different ethnical backgrounds of Black, White, Asian, Spanish, and Russian. This is to add diversity and make the film get gritty with a mix of skills making certain weapons form common day tools like MacGyver from their specific training.
Roger Murtaugh (Glover) and Martin Riggs (Gibson) take these new rookies on a few drug busts, which lead them onto a terrorist attack (similar to 9/11). They get leads form all over, prostitutes, bums, business men, news people, and illegal immigrants. Advancing the story, some of the rookies get bumped up to FBI because of one busts nets a large drug cartel from Germany linked to Cuba.
This in turns gives more leads to a nuclear power weapon being sold to a third country bidder. This gets an entire FBI force of 5 executed and the remaining Lethal Weapon rookies go on chases on public buses, high speed car rides, jet ski escapes by the bad guys, even a free fall into the Hudson River with a hydroplane take off.
Martin Riggs (Gibson) takes a liking to one of the rookies and shares a terrible tale that makes rookie stronger (and possibly takes Gibsons place in Lethal Weapon 6; dubbed Lethal Weapon Rookies: Serial Crazy this one would be like the movie Seven where a serial killer is killing people for no obvious reason) the rookie also learns Martin Riggs (Gibson)s shoulder dislocation via and injury during the 2:45 hour movie (which him/her out of the movie for like 30 minutes).
The last bad guy would have a pack of bloody gangsters, say 7 trained in shooting, martial arts, street fighting and of course torture. The ending battle will be in a parking garage of a football stadium with a sniper looking for a witness that can lead to the big bosss arrest. The ending fight will leave some of the rookies dead, so the audience will not know WHO is going to survive. Roger Murtaugh (Glover) and Martin Riggs (Gibson) will end the movie with a celebration of the new rookies and lead in with a phone call requesting the two new rookies with a lead.
The New Rookies Should either be:
Ed Norton
Cuba Gooding Jr.
Pamela Anderson
Chris O'Donnell (I)
B.D. Wong
Tony Jaa
Terry Chen
Terrence Howard
Ziyi Zhang (or a look alike)
Angelina Jolie (Russian accent)
Michelle Rodriguez (I)
Jason Statham mature, rough Rookie with experience
The Ultimate Bad Guy
Bill Goldberg (with a German Accent who can also speak Spanish)
Kevin Spacey
Steven Seagal (yes, I said Steven Seagal with an Australian accent, with some Porteguese)
John Malkovich let him be creative, all of his stuff is great even if the movie itself isnt that good.
Extra Notes
Stellan Skarsgerd a star henchman (one the audience loves to hate)
Angela Bassett police chief
Ice Cube Paid Narc?? Or peddling gunsman with tips that cost. Dependable tips.
Queen Latifa comic relief in the office (who tells it like it is)
MoNique comic relief on the streets (gossipy fortune teller)
Jason Statham a star henchman (one the audience loves to hate)
Sorry Im being vague, but hey, cant put all of my ideas in one space, especially on here.
