October 13, 2004 — Basic Instinct 2, the sequel set to star Sharon Stone, is moving closer to the greenlight after securing financing from German film fund IMF3. A filming date has not been set yet, however, the budget should be more than $70 million.
Michael Caton-Jones is set to direct while an announcement for a male lead should be expected soon.
