August 13, 2004 — The Horror Channel has an article up with production updates for the upcoming 2001 Maniacs!

One film that has been brewing rather quietly, save for a few updates on the Web and within the pages of Rue Morgue and Fangoria, is 2001 Maniacs. A loose remake of the H.G. Lewis 1964 Southern bloodbath 2000 Maniacs!, the film is a production of Raw Nerve, a horror house built by Boaz Yakin, Eli Roth, and Scott Spiegel. Bloodworks and Velvet Steamroller are also co-producing....
