September 10, 2006 — According to Stax from Film Force IGN the sequel to 28 Days Later has begun principal photography stage.
"DNA Films and Fox Atomic have announced that filming is now under way on 28 Weeks Later, the sequel to 2003's 28 Days Later. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (Intacto) is directing from a screenplay by Fresnadillo, Enrique Lopez-Lavigne, Rowan Joffe and Jesus Olmo.
28 Weeks Later stars Robert Carlyle (Eragon), Rose Byrne (Troy), Jeremy Renner (S.W.A.T.), Harold Perrineau (TV's Lost), Catherine McCormack (Braveheart), Imogen Poots (V For Vendetta), Idris Elba (TV's The Wire) and twelve-year-old newcomer Mackintosh Muggleton. "
