Movie Review:
My thoughts on this movie...
I wanted to write this right after I saw the film, but I got sidetracked.

I'm sitting in the theater...not knowing exactly what to expect considering the poor advertisement. After a few trailers for films I don't really care about except "The Devil's Rejects," the Univeral logo from the 1950s comes on. Oooh! Exciting!
So the opening credits were pretty well done. I was hoping it would be something like what the Dawn remake had, so it wasn't what I expected, and nothing memorable.
Then as the words "TODAY" superimpose on the screen, the disappointment begins. Although, the opening scene in which we take a look at the way the zombies are living now is pretty cool...it's cheesy. Simon Baker playing the tambourine, a zombie playing the tuba, Big Daddy trying to help a customer.
Then we are introduced to the way humans are living. Humans have to go into "stench" infestated towns to gather up supplies to take back to a barracaded city that they live in run by a guy in a tower called Fiddler's Green...oh brother, I'm not about to try and explain it to you. Dennis Hopper played as a dictator in this film, so it's easily compared to Super Mario Bros. The blood and special effects were incredible. The acting was good, but at times a bit cheesy. The story itself was great, but could have gone in a better direction. It was better than Day of the Dead. It was George Romero trying to imitate himself, and he failed. It was like somebody else making the movie trying to be like George Romero. Hardcore fans enjoy...the rest of you ought to just wait until DVD.
