Yo UK dead fans check:

Welcome to the web site of FrightFest. FrightFest is the UK's biggest and best fantasy, sci-fi and horror film festival and is held every August Bank Holiday weekend. This year we will be at the Odeon West End from 26th to 29th August. The Odeon West End is located on Leicester Square, which is right in the heart of London's cinema and theatre land.

Weekend passes will be on sale for FrightFest 2005 from 11 a.m. on 1st July. Tickets for the individual films will be on sale from 1st August. Weekend passes this year are priced at #130 with tickets for individual films at #10.00. The all-inclusive weekend pass tickets to see all 21 films represents amazing value. This year it saves #80. This year seats for pass holders will be in the front block of the cinema nearest the stage.

After last August's event we promised FrightFest would get bigger and better in 2005 and now's the time to deliver on our pledge. If you have visited here before you will already know about our move from our home for the last five years at the Prince Charles Cinema to the very high profile Odeon West End in London's Leicester Square. It has taken us five years but we have now achieved our ambition to get on the Square as opposed to by it. With a massive bar, airy foyer space, proper air-conditioning and great views from every one of the seats in the raked auditorium, the Odeon is going to enhance all our collective experiences. But don't expect our much envied FrightFest atmosphere and friendliness to change. You come back every year because we actively encourage maximum fan involvement and interaction with our guests and that is never going to alter. And to promote that further we're adding a marathon quiz, Ian's idea, into the celebrity/star/director intro mix. Just don't expect questions like "who directed Psycho?" You'll have to work harder than that to win our great prizes!

Our change in venue has meant we have been able to cherry-pick from a wider selection of upcoming want-to-see movies than ever before. The following eight are definite but we are holding out for some amazing additions which will all be announced no later than August 1st. Our August 26-29 event kicks off in high style with what must be our most amazing opening film ever. Yes, we've nabbed George A. Romero's highly anticipated zombie continuation Land of the Dead. No more needs to be said apart from the fact we are waiting confirmation of Romero's presence. Now that really would be something!
