This movie is not what I expected from such a brilliant movie maker (Romero). I did not understand how you can say that a zombie does not have any resoning, but understands what will happen if they use an automatic gun. When you have no reason, you don't show someone else how to master a weapon. This movie made no sense, even the scary parts were not scary or even gory. I hate to say this I love all the DEAD movies, but George has lost his ability too make horror movies. Sorry for you who love George.

did you pay attention to teh movie? The point i sthat the zombies evolved, adapated to there enviorment. The zombies in this movie were an example of "Learned Behavior". It it not that they had reasoning, although they showed it, it is that they adapted.

First check out 'Day of the Dead' then make comments about zombies and guns. The 'new' zombies are a direct lineage of 'Bub'. 'Big Daddy' is another great character and zombie.

The movie definitely could have been darker but i have a feeling that the financial sting from Day of the Dead is still in George's memory. And now he has a second chance so i think he toned it down just a little. Also the budget restrictions im sure played a part. I would have like to have seen a more intense fortified city.

All the same there are lots of amazing scenes. Gore wise and acting wise.
In how many films do you get to see a midget have his head blown off!!
I would give it a 85% rating and would easily recomend it.
