| If it's a "what if" then theres more then 2 answers. Plus, the epilogue at the end wrapped things up for Liz and Will equally. As the writers said, the characters would "have faith" but the writers offer no answers. Therefore, the only character who didn't have a wrap up is Sparrow but being that they ended it with him the way he began (a common literary device for secondary characters or characters who are not essentially a part of Story Line A) that's kinda an ending, too. The character went through a huge adventure and nothing changed. If they choose to end it here, that's fine. In fact, it was written to end here as no 4, 5, or 6 was planned. So, yeah, that IS an ending. If they do continue (which I see more as a 'when they do continue') it'll be more of a treat then a necessity. |
