I dont no about everyone else but do we want a Pirates of the caribbean 4?

One gd point about it is we get to see all the characters back on a new adventure and stuff but i dont no if i want another one as they seem to be getting longer and dragging on a bit more and it might ruin all 3 other movies.

Thats whats great about Capt Jack, there is endless stories you could do about the sea and many adventures. The only problem is geting everyone back because you need Jack but I think you need Liz too otherwise it loses some of its fun.

You know Jack will be back he already said so, they must get Keira back at all cost.Give her more of a story make her a equal player now that she is a pirate King let her and Jack have some sparks again!

Personally, no, I do not want to see POTC 4. The reason being that I'm not entirely confident that the writers would be able to deliver. The third film lacked a great deal of coherence.

The premise that was set up at the end of World's End was fantastic, and we pretty much know that while Elizabeth Turner is going to be out of the picture now that [SPOILER] she's pregnant immediately following World's End, there's still plenty of room on the high seas for William and his father Barnacle Bill to come back into the picture. And PotC: At World's End was not as good as its two predecessors.

I just have a bad feeling that if they do another one it'll be Johnny Depp's version of "Batman and Robin", the disaster sequel.

I'm pretty sure Bloom isnt coming back. They had to cut costs so the most expendable of the most paid was Bloom. Thats why they made him the new captain of the Flying Dutchman.

No, it left off nicely. Jack needs to get the ship back, Elizabeth has a kid, thus needing to stay home now, Jack has a new adventure, and Will is with his father. Just seems like a logical place to stop if you ask me.

Can ya picture Liz and Jack sailing the seas after the holly grail with baby on the way during the whole deal.

Jack wouldnt know what to do with Liz carrying child not to mention all her mood swings aboard ship.Could be a preaty good story with the two of them hooking up to find the grail!

Keira Knightley wants more of a storyline, its why she wants to stop making pirartes because the whole movie is about Jack!

It should be now be more about her as Pirate King, with Jack along side of her and the little runt!

Depp is in it cause Sparrow is such an amazing character, not because he likes his co-stars.
If you ask me, the character is the only thing that really matters when acting, and man.. I'd love playing something like sparrow =) it's the wierdoes that's fun.

I love everything pirates so i defenatly hope they make a 4th movie and i I know Disney they will. And i might be one of few people who think Liz is the most worthless of the main characters and that they could do just as well without her. NOw that im thinking about it, Captain Jack Sparrow wasnt really in the movie that much, and I think he should have been in the movie a little more. THey introduced him at the right time but it was kinda far into the movie.

I think it is essential to have Pirates Of The Caribbean 4 because of the whole trilogy ending.

You see Disney were onto a winning concept with Pirates, but got wrapped up on the whole Will Elizabeth and captian sparrow story.

Now that Will and Elizabeth have been taken out of the picture you have a whole new story to focus on.

I mostly agree with this.

Keira and Orlando have said they don't think they'd come back and that is fairly obvious they don't need to since the first three films wrapped up their story.

However I don't want a 4. I want a 4, 5, and 6. This is a franchise that bears a lot of resemblence to a certain Sci-Fi Saga. Even though I believe this series has more backstory for prequels (What happened between Beckett and Jack and what mark did Jack leave on Beckett? Why did Jones have to raise the Pearl from the depths 13 years earlier and since Sparrow made a deal with him would that imply Sparrow was either dead or dying? Although not as relevant it'd be nice to show how Jack and Barbossa met) but if they made prequels people would only look at this franchise as a Star Wars clone (even if it did things better then SW at times) so they could always leave those threads open and just continue where 3 left off (Jack in pursuit of immortality meanwhile we still have the King whom ordered Beckett to take control of Port Royal and Calypso as possible big bads and of coarse Jack and Barbossa would have to work together and if they made 3 movies I'd expect a cameo from Orlando to help in the final battle - I figure it wouldn't take 10 years for these events to happen so no kid yet and no Keira unless they want have Jack and her have a talk on shore in the end to wrap up some stuff a few fans complained about). If they were to just do a 4 it'd be a waste of a terrific series. Hell, I'd wish they'd do 3 sequels and 3 prequels just so there's finally some franchise that did it right.

If Keira was intrested in reprising her role (which she isn't) this is still very problematic because it would reveal Liz lives and whatever quest they're looking for (which would never be the Holy Grail, come on) would not be successful for her so it'd be pointless for the character to even appear. Jack and Liz don't need to team up. Liz and Will have a finished story and it should be left that way.

What's all this with the holy grail?

Let's just get things straight.
He's searching for the fountain of youth, not the grail. Two complete different myths, from different times and different parts of the world, if i'm not very much mistaken.

The grail comes from english christian legends, mostly linked with the arthur-stories, is said to be the cup Jesus drank his wine in on the last supper, and also the cup which Joseph collected some of christ's blood in while he was hanging on the cross. It's said to have many powers, it all differs from legend to legend.

The fountain of youth-legend, on the otherhand, has come and gone through years and some of the most famous tales comes from roman and greek history, as well as from tales of spanish 16th centuries explorers, where it's said to be located about where florida is.
The fountain of youth is simply just that- a pool which gives eternal youth if you bath in it.

Can we now agree these are two different things?
If anyone still have their doubts, think about it for a while.
In a world with kraken, davy jones, a greek godess... wouldn't it feel just sooo strage if they suddenly decided to add christianity to that world.. I'd just think they were nuts if they did that.

No, Liz will be excluded for a number of reasons but mostly because the actress doesn't want to return to the role. Also, her story is done. The first 3 films had Will and Elizabeth as a primary story... it concluded in 3.
