| How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... |

A great adaption of the famous battle. I just cant understand why critics always have a bug up there asses.oh, thats right. because there critics. well, I am not a critic. I am a full fledged film goer son-of-a-gun. Do I care what other people think? hell no! so, without further or do, my review.
The film(if you dont know) is based on the historic battle between general santa Anna's 2000 mexican army against more than 200 texan armed independent fighters, led by the young william travis(patrick wilson),Jim Bowie(jason patrics),And Davy crockett(played very well by Bad santa-I mean billy bob thornton). They fortify themselve's in an old spanish mission which we all know is called "The Alamo".
Lets start with the players. they all did very well-better than what I expected.Billy Bob rocks! love the violin-solo scene. that almost teared me up( maybe because I dumped my ex for cheating on me too)At times, it did drag a little. But, that is the point. 13 days of getting bombarded with large mexican cannonballs does get a tad boring. What did you expect, guys? A full gorish 13 day battle. This is all about character duders! This film exceeds with its leading cast. nuff said.
As for the battle. It was marvelous. need I say more. John Lee Hancock really touched it up a notch or two ( dude really loves his dramatic reddish skie filters)The angles he used for the main battle also fit In pretty well.
Now, for my geek ass rant. I could care less about the battle of san jacinto. I didnt want to see the after effects( that reminded me alot like pearl harbor, the half hour do-little raid?)The film is called "The Alamo" not " The Alamo and the overly-paced epic finale battle at San jacinto."
thats my only rant. So, The film is awesome. go ahead and kick me around with your over-dorked masturbating-views. I dont care. Go watch all the other crap blockbusters we are so dieing to give our left nuts too.Excuse my spanish, Im just pissed at the fact that everyone missed out on a good film. shame on you! shame on you!
