msnbc.com reports of the dispute between Ron Howard and Disney in the making of the Alamo.

DISNEY had already spent more than $10 million on script rewrites and building a massive Alamo set, but believed the films steep tab was fiscally irresponsible. Disney told Howard and producing partner Brian Grazer to trim the films $130 million cost by $25 million, but they declined, and the filmmakers issued an ultimatum, saying if Disney didnt relent on the purse strings Howard would ride into the sunset....
