....On Friday, June 13, 2003, production ended on ALAMO. It marked the end of a production that employed over 25,000+ people making it contenders with some of the all-time biggest movie productions such as Lawrence of Arabia and Lord of the Rings. Over 5,000 extras were used and thousands of pounds of black powder to simulate, according to one military historian, the best 20th century combat re-enactment Ive ever seen.
