The New World “Back to the Old Bale” — cclark2504 [More reviews by this user] Anticipation Level: N/A How excited (or not) I am to see this movie... What has Christian Bale got up his sleeve next? My wish to see this particular film seems to be fairly biased.I have been a fan of Bale for a number of years however although I enjoyed `Batman Begins` and `Equalibrium`I think it is fair to assume this will be quite a leap. He seems to be able to turn his hand to a number of styles including damaged soul in `The Machinist` to an earnest young man in the period drama `Little Women`. However in this particular film I would like to see more of the ating we are used to from his earlier work.His very diverse acting ability always leaves the question what next and I don`t think `The New World` will be any exception.However I have the worrying feeling that there may be a few disappointing accents I can only hope that they won`t be as appauling as the Australian/Cockney he managed in `Reign of Fire`.
