After he accepted his Oscar for "The Departed" (again, hell yeah!), Marty Scorsese headed backstage to talk to the press... who were just as giddy as he was that he'd scored the long-overdue statue.
Reporters were quick to ask about the sequel/prequel rumours.
Scorsese said it depends on the script - currently being written by William Monahan - whether or not he takes up the directing reigns again. If he does, he said he is indeed planning on getting old mate Robert De Niro to do it.
"That would be a good idea", he told reporters.
Oh, and for those wondering why Jack Nicholson was as bald as a bat, tonight? It's for his role in the new Rob Reiner film, "The Bucket List" co-starring Morgan Freeman.
