Last week, the trades announced that Martin Scorsese is keen to do both a sequel and a prequel to his recent hit, The Departed.
Matt Damon, talking to todays Herald Sun, says hes still yet to be contacted about it so doubts his character would be involved in either film.
I read that, too, and Ive been racking my brains about how wed do it. I dont really know what the movie would be about. Maybe its just starring Mark Wahlberg hes the only one left alive [at the end of the first film].
Damon also mentioned that hed like to see a 10th anniversary commemorative edition of Good Will Hunting on DVD but says that would require [producer] Harvey Weinstein putting more money into the movie and I dont think we can do that unless he can figure he can get it out the other side.

Amigo, its a really good movie, u should check it out. One of the best i've ever seen.
As for this news, i like it, hes prob. only gonna show up for the prequal cause theres no room for him in the sequal cause of the outcome of part1. I really loved this movie, so f-ing smart.
I just finished watching it, and man was this film awesome! I'm not really a Scorsese fan, but this film needs to win Best Pic. and Best Dir. Also, I want to see the consequences of Dignam's actions.
