Im very confused, i was watching tv a while ago and saw a preview for this movie, anyway at the end of the trailer it said it was rated PG-13! If so the why is there an R-rated trailer online? I was so looking forward to this being rated R! Can anyone explain? Thanks!

Yeah we know but what he's saying is that since there was an R rated trailer shouldn't the movie be R rated since it obviously has R rated scenes

taken from the wikipedia site:

Originally there were reports that the film would be rated PG-13, but after a few trailers hit the Internet there were rumors that the film would be rated R like the 2006 film Beowulf and Grendel, due to the obvious nudity of Grendel's Mother. But on October 10th, 2007 it was confirmed on the MPAA website that the film would be rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence including disturbing images, some sexual material, and nudity. However, the video game is rated M for Mature.
