I thought I had posted a thread about his months ago, but maybe not.
The first book has a lot of lead-up to important encounters later. In fact, it's mostly about Eragon and Saphira learning to trust/work with each other, with Brom helping a little in the 'teacher/Obi-Wan' role.
1. There's going to have to be a lot more action, a lot sooner, is my belief. They'll probably have to show the entire sequence where Arya is being pursued and how she sends off the egg.
2. I also wonder if they will have some kind of prologue that explains history up until we join farm boy Eragon.
Thoughts?

if they do do the backstory it would involve including more CGI dragons which means more money..maybe there'll be little flashbacks without much action in if you know what I mean when Brom is telling his stories

All they are basically changing is adding more action, Saphira can breath fire and she fights some sorta flying thingy... apart from that i cant think of anything...
